Vallejo USD In-Person Tutor Solano CC

Hey Tutor has partnered with a school district in Vallejo and we are looking to hire tutors who can assist TK‑8th grade students during and after regular school hours. You will be working with students of all ages between TK‑8th grade.

You must be comfortable passing an in‑person background check.

• Working with groups of students without the support of a teacher or school site staff
• Preparing the area to start a tutoring session
• Picking up and dropping off students from designated areas in the school site
• Taking attendance and running lessons through Hey Tutor Dashboard (if applicable)
• Documenting student progress with Hey Tutor Dashboard
• Facilitating students taking and completing baseline and summative assessments when requested by a manager
• Leading a group of students in the tutoring session using curriculum and materials provided by the program
• Creating an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging that kids want to be in
• Supporting students in making positive behavior choices
• Engaging and interacting with tutoring lessons alongside the students
• Daily clocking in and out of Deputy for shifts
• Any other duties that may be required by the Company, your manager and/or the School Site

24 Tutors needed during and after‑school

• Must have completed an AA or higher, or be currently enrolled in college or university
• Tutoring experience (great at working with kids)
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Clear FBI‑DOJ background check
• Bilingual with proficiency in both English and Spanish to assist bilingual students is preferred

Pay depends on a combination of education and experience and will be determined at the time of the interview
