The HR Generalist partners with, and supports, the Regional HR Manager in serving as a resource to staff and managers for their assigned region. Primary focus of the Generalist role is to provide staff with an exceptional and supportive experience in every interaction with HR including but not limited to those related to onboarding, performance management, job descriptions, job changes, employee relations, training, compliance, etc.

Coordinate the offboarding process for departing staff including arranging for and may conduct exit interviews, guiding managers on their responsibilities of the exit process, and collecting all appropriate separation documentation. Perform other duties as may be deemed necessary.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.

Minimum 3or similar experience. years of progressively complex and broad-based Human Resources experience to include: employee relations, performance management, Demonstrated ability to build trusting and credible relationships with staff. Credit union or banking experience is a plus.

Ability to use good judgment and decision making skills independently in order to solve problems

Experience in coaching and training staff and managers.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and security of data while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws Ability to build credibility among staff and with managers.

Knowledge of all employment laws.

Strong technical aptitude.  Proficiency in using a computer and MS Office software including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.  

Experience with HRIS systems a plus.

Active listening skills, excellent reading comprehension and writing skills, and attention to detail.

Excellent time management and organization skills.

Strong customer service approach and ability and willingness to take ownership for solving problems.

Ability and willingness to work beyond normal work hours and travel 15 to 20%, when needed.
