Behavior Support Specialist - AVSEC - Supplemental Learning Center

The Behavior Support Specialist provides direct and consultative services to students and staff enrolled in the Supplemental Learning Center, which houses USD 262s Special Education Day School and 18-21-year-old programming. This position includes (a) delivering individual and group services; (b) building staff capacity in preventative, replacement, and reactive strategies; (c) leading de-escalation training and coaching; (d) supporting transition planning for students returning to neighborhood schools;

and (e) facilitating collaborative problem-solving with school teams who may be considering Day School placement. (Complete job description is attached to the application.)

Salary Information
USD 262 has a highly competitive salary schedule that allows all years of experience to be credited. We offer a base salary for teachers that ranges from $50,481 to $81,702 based on experience and/or credentials.

Benefits Information
USD 262 pays $512.00 per month for single and $717.00 for single+ toward the Health Insurance Premiums, if you choose to participate.
