Overview
Director of Patient Access – Valley City & Lisbon, ND. Full‑time leadership role overseeing registration and financial clearance operations across two critical access hospitals. Split travel 50/50 between sites 45 miles apart.
Responsibilities- Lead registration processes, including pre‑service and point‑of‑service financial clearance activities.
- Manage operational metrics to meet Service Level Agreements and budgetary goals.
- Oversee staffing activities: hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Develop and implement action plans for process improvements and long‑term strategies.
- Foster staff engagement and mentor supervisors to support growth and retention.
- Communicate proactively with leadership and provide solutions for operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and revenue cycle standards.
- 3–5 years of healthcare supervisory experience (physician practice experience accepted).
- Knowledge of relationships between admitting, clinical, financial, and clearance activities;
Revenue Cycle Management and regulatory guidelines. - Strong leadership and organizational abilities; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive operational metrics.
- High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare information systems.
- Experience in budget/cost management and strategic planning.
- Competitive salary $75,000–$85,000 per year.
