- Provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.
- Serve as front-line manager to develop tax office associates, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives.
- Lead daily team meetings, create associate work schedules, ensure timekeeping accuracy and deadlines, and coach on Service Standards.
- Develop partnerships with District General Manager to create office-level growth plans and manage office community involvement.
- Recruit and interview candidates for tax office positions; serve as point of contact for escalated client service concerns; resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Prepare tax returns as required and conduct timely performance reviews.
- Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industry.
- 2+ years as a Tax Professional.
- Prior customer service or supervisory experience; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Passion, determination, resilience with a customer-centric mindset.
- Flexible schedule and ability to adjust based on business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher; IRS/state requirements; continuing education.
- Experience with MS Office and tax knowledge assessment or IRS course completion (if preparing tax returns).
