Healthcare Specialist - Adjunct Faculty

Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part‑time roles hired each semester as needed. The adjunct faculty member will create a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals and provide elective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School.

• Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
• Provide syllabus appropriate to the course(s) being taught, ensuring it follows syllabus content and requirements.
• Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook; submit requested information within established timelines.
• Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions or provide assistance; deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with the program coordinator to resolve issues.
• Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s); use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.
• In event of an emergency absence, notify the program/department chair.
• Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views; promote inclusion as an integral part of one's work.

• Pay: $47.35 per contact hour.

• Candidates must upload a copy of transcripts to be considered.
• A qualified faculty member in Healthcare Specialist must meet all of the following criteria:
  • Possess an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years directly related work experience.
  • Hold certification or licensure in a healthcare discipline providing care or service directly to patients.
