Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part‑time roles hired each semester as needed. The adjunct faculty member will create a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals and provide elective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School.
Responsibilities- Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
- Provide syllabus appropriate to the course(s) being taught, ensuring it follows syllabus content and requirements.
- Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook; submit requested information within established timelines.
- Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions or provide assistance; deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with the program coordinator to resolve issues.
- Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s); use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.
- In event of an emergency absence, notify the program/department chair.
- Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views; promote inclusion as an integral part of one's work.
- Pay: $47.35 per contact hour.
- Hours:
Daytime, evening, or weekend classes—dependent on availability and course schedule.
- Candidates must upload a copy of transcripts to be considered.
- A qualified faculty member in Healthcare Specialist must meet all of the following criteria:
- Possess an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Have a minimum of 2 years directly related work experience.
- Hold certification or licensure in a healthcare discipline providing care or service directly to patients.
Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre‑employment background checks, including a criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon the outcome.
