Instructional Aide

This position will assist a certified teacher in reinforcing instruction to individuals or small groups of students in a classroom setting. Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans; provide routine clerical support and perform related work as needed.

• Assist with supervision of the hallway, recess, lunch room, buses, and car line.
• Cover duties for absent aides and teachers as needed
• Prepare instructional materials as requested.
• Assist with preparation for school events.
• Assist students with classroom work as a group or individual.
• Organize and chaperone field trips and special events.
• Report any injuries to students and complete accident forms.

• Other duties assigned by the supervisor, teacher, or principal.

Reports to:

Assigned Teacher/Building Principal Work Period: 180 days/year

Qualifications:

Organization, ability to work with others.

Physical/Mental Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, and use a hand-held device

Requirements: devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
