Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity – Per‑diem / PRN, 12‑hour shifts, evenings.
About The FacilityThe Midwest Center for Youth and Families (a subsidiary of UHS) has been operating since 1997, providing psychiatric treatment to youth across the country. The 74‑bed private residential treatment facility is fully accredited and located in Valparaiso and Kouts, IN. The center offers a full‑immersion Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program for children and adolescents ages 10–18 who struggle with emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.
ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care for children and adolescents undergoing the DBT program.
Collaborate with the mental health team, including behavioral health specialists, unit clerks, and behavioral health workers to ensure patient safety and quality care.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress notes in compliance with facility policies.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
Qualifications- Current Indiana RN license
- Associate's degree required;
Bachelor's degree preferred - Current CPR or BLS certification
- Must be 21 years of age or older
