We seek a Float Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm CST; this can also vary slightly depending on the site you will be working at if called out to cover for PTO coverage at other sites.
Location:
Your home site will be 601 Wall St, Valparaiso, IN 46383, but you will need to be able to travel to other sites within a 100 mile radius from this location to cover for PTO as business needs arise.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff.
- Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
- Order, receive and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
- Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
- Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records.
- Work with the pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keep the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.
- Perform various clerical duties relating to the department.
- Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Cover for PTO at other locations when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Active and unrestricted pharmacy technician license in the state of Indiana.
- Access to reliable transportation and valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Ability to use your own car to travel to other sites when needed to cover for PTO.
- National pharmacy technician certification.
- Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience.
Pay is based on several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
