The ideal candidate has experience in outside sales/business development within the healthcare industry, including cold‑calling patients in pharmaceuticals, medical device sales, hospitals, home health, hospice or long‑term care.

We invite you to join our team as a Hospice Sales Representative, leveraging your experience in healthcare sales to educate providers and patients about our home care services.

• Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 plus bonus potential

• Lake County

This role will travel 50% or more within the assigned territory.

• Educate healthcare professionals, patients, and families about home care services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key referral sources such as hospitals, nursing homes, and physician offices to generate leads.
• Coordinate patient admissions with the team, obtaining all required documentation to complete the referral‑to‑admission process.
• Conduct on‑site visits to assess patient needs and identify barriers to care.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and referrals.
• Achieve admissions, product, and payor‑mix goals.
• Meet short‑ and long‑term target account goals.
• Document the minimum expectation of sales calls daily in CRM (including pre‑ and post‑call notes).
• Maintain a complete, up‑to‑date record of targeted referral sources in territory in CRM.
• Attend community events to promote Amedisys.
• Respond to customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• At least one year of experience in a healthcare‑related business development/outreach role; a bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation, current driver’s license, and liability insurance.
