Position Summary

Responsible for the oversight of the retail sales and branch staff operations of assigned banking centers/hub in region. Supports and assists the Regional President.

Essential Requirements
  • Responsible for the leadership and performance management (i.e., staffing, performance appraisals, salary recommendations and terminations) of all branch staff in assigned region. Able to develop and structure a highly effective and skilled branch team.
  • Plans, directs and leads the retail business development of consumer loan, deposits and related banking products and services within an assigned group of banking centers.
  • Responsible for assigned banking centers’ profitability, sales, and growth goals are met or exceeded, including referral programs with business units (i.e., Investments, Business Banking, and PAMG), ensuring branch staff develops strong product and process knowledge.
  • Works with direct reports in the Banking Center’s to reinforce 1st Source client‑centric values in communications, coaching, and supervising staff in sales and servicing activities, including implementation of local policy and explanation of company programs, policies and objectives.
  • Serves as top management’s direct link to the assigned community.
  • Represents the company in various civic and community functions to further enhance its image and develop additional business.
  • Completes all compliance training related to the position.
  • Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.
Non‑Essential Functions
  • Serves on planning and policy‑making committees.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Experience / Skills
  • Six (6) or more years of retail banking related experience preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Leadership and management skills.
  • Requires excellent oral, written and presentation communications skills.
  • Requires good PC skills——proficiency in Word and Excel essential.
  • Requires strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong, demonstrated leadership skills, including persuasion/negotiation skills, problem solving skills, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with no supervision; manages time for high productivity and allocates resources to match production needs.
  • Ability to be proactive, take initiative, and carefully monitor, follow through, and complete every project/responsibility.
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality/privacy of others, and of company documents and records.
  • Superior business writing and proofreading skills.
  • Strong, well‑honed reasoning and decision‑making abilities.
Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Travel Requirements

Ability to travel to all locations as well as ability to travel overnight, as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
