Midwest Center for Youth and Families is seeking a talented and dynamic Director of Clinical Services to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals!

Midwest Center for Youth and Families (a subsidiary of UHS) has been in operation since 1997, serving youth across the country that are in need of psychiatric treatment for a variety of mental health issues. The Midwest Center is a respected healthcare provider, fully accredited, 74-bed private, residential treatment facility with locations in Valparaiso and Kouts, IN.

We are dedicated to caring for the hearts and minds of our patients with compassion through our full-immersion Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program for children and adolescents ages 10-18 who struggle with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges.

The Patriot Support Program at Midwest Center offers specialized treatment designed to address the behavioral health needs and challenges of the children of active-duty military, reserve, and national guard members.

Position Summary

The Director of Nursing provides strategic leadership and oversight for all nursing services within a behavioral health setting. This role ensures the delivery of safe, compassionate, trauma-informed, and evidence-based psychiatric care. This person manages nursing operations, supports staff development, and collaborates with medical and administrative leadership to optimize patient outcomes & overall patient experience.

Job Duties /Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily nursing operations (assessments, medication administration, health screenings, & nursing care plans) to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Monitor documentation for accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and timely communication within regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor adherence to safety, infection control, and emergency preparedness standards.
  • Work closely & collaborate with Medical Director, Therapists, and other leadership to provide safe, compassionate, and clinically appropriate care.

Qualifications
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school is preferred.
  • Indiana RN license is required.
  • Minimum of five years experience working in behavioral health field required.
