We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Peer Recovery Coach to join our team at Porter-Starke Services. As a Peer Recovery Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals recovering from substance use disorders. You will use your personal experience and strengths to assist clients in building resources and community support networks. Responsibilities:- Assist clients in understanding and managing their disorder and symptoms
- Connect clients to available community resources and advocate for their needs
- Provide support and guidance to clients as they navigate the recovery process
- Maintain close working relationships with management staff, co-workers, and peers
- Act as an informant and advocate to clients regarding consumer rights and responsibilities
- Participate in team staffings to provide client and peer insight
- Must be in long-term recovery for a minimum of three years and have documentation to support this
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a Peer Recovery Coach Certification course required
- One year of peer coaching or related experience preferred
- Successful completion of a background check
