Sport Performance Coach Valparaiso

Position

Description:

Responsible for direction and instruction of competitive, progressive strength and conditioning programs for assigned sports. Coordinate and implement, plan and manage all in-season and out-of-season player strength conditioning, including both team and individual programming.

• Provide guidance to coaches when planning pre-game and post-game meals and consult with coaching staff regarding seasonal nutrition.
• Coordinate rehabilitation training with Sports Medicine staff.
• Assist coaches with choosing training programs outside of Valpo Athletics to ensure health and safety of student-athletes and verify proper certifications.
• Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of all athletic weight rooms and all equipment within this space.
• Coordinate team equipment purchases to ensure proper management of university budgets.

• Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree
• 2+ years of previous strength coaching experience
• Collegiate-level experience preferred

• NSCA CSCS and/or CSCCa
• CPR/AED Certification
