- Computer literate and proficient in clinical documentation
- Basic Internet navigation skills
- Valid certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Valid occupational therapist state license (where applicable)
Provide occupational therapy services for patients, maintaining positive interactions with facilities and clients while following occupational therapy principles and Reliant Rehabilitation guidelines. Responsibilities include screening and evaluation, developing treatment plans and discharge plans, supervising assistants and rehab techs, case management, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Optimize patient functionality and skills through occupational therapy
- Provide consultation and clinical supervision to COTAs
- Directly supervise COTAs and rehab techs in skilled tasks during group and individual treatment
- Build a strong occupational therapy program
- Enhance clinical expertise, professional, and management skills
- Maintain a valid state license and stay informed about the profession and healthcare environment
- Understand payment models, billing, and treatment guidelines
- Be compliant with infection control procedures and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively in English (instructions, correspondence, reports)
