Position: Further Product Tech VB (Night Shift)

Further Product Tech VB (Night Shift) (Finance)

To learn, perform, and rotate between the positions of packer, scaler, styler, and grader, and as needed, to maintain line speeds on any given product at the designated rate for that product.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Works on a moving conveyor belt using both hands. Spreads or styles product by hand on the belt.

Performs multiple types of packing and weighing.

Removes bones from product; inspects, grades, and removes product that does not meet standards.

Participates as a member of the team, contributing to the development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies. Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends team meetings. Fosters cohesiveness regarding major issues such as direction, annual plan, budget, and policy changes. Identifies areas lacking cohesiveness and works with the team leader to resolve issues, actively seeking ways to achieve synergy within the organization.

Familiar with Simmons' operating systems principles and objectives, including quality, security, office environment, company policies, and LEAN. Understands the role of this position in supporting these systems and communicates concerns and improvement ideas.

Performs other duties as necessary to support business objectives. This description is intended to guide activities and is not exhaustive.

Physical activities include moving, pushing, or pulling up to 55 pounds, bending, stooping, walking, standing, and working in cold, wet, noisy, and dusty environments throughout the shift. Involves repetitive motion and rotating through different plant areas.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Standard waterproof gloves, sleeves, hearing protection, slip-resistant footwear.
