**** POSITION OVERVIEW
** Controls Engineering Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the design, programming, and installation of control systems for industrial equipment manufactured in Van Wert, Ohio. They work to ensure that control systems are functioning properly, and they lead teams to implement solutions that improve efficiency, safety, and performance.

** ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILTIES / DUTIES*
* • Identifies resource needs and works with manager to secure resources.
• Approves timelines and verify quoted hours match timelines.
• Assigns lead engineers and completes project KPI tracking.
• Assures equipment meets Alliance and Customer Standards.
• Works with managers and HR to maintain robust training systems.
• Assists with on boarding new hires.
• Leads weekly L10 meetings.
• Maintains department schedules per timelines and resource availability.
• Establish and maintains relationships with external contractors.
• Conducts yearly performance reviews with direct reports.
• Reviews quotes prior to submittal.
** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE*
* • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. A Master’s degree may be preferred.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in control systems engineering, with 2-3 years in a leadership or project management role.
• Expertise in control systems design, PLC programming, SCADA, and DCS.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate teams.
• Knowledge of industrial automation, process control, and instrumentation.
• Experience with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, NFPA, OSHA).
