Overnight Shift Supervisor – Experience in MFG SummaryThe Van Wert, OH Fiber plant is a part of the Consumer Products Division of a global leader in Consumer Products & Healthcare solutions. The Overnight SHIFT SUPERVISOR will be primarily responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the front line employees. Ensures a safe working environment through modeling safe behaviors, leading audits/inspections, correcting unsafe behaviors, conducting safety meetings, and utilizing proper work methods, procedures and equipment.
Provides direct supervision to production employees. In this start-up Mfg location, the Overnight SHIFT SUPERVISOR will actively partner with HR & Operations leaders to hire & train crew members to operate Molding, Pulping, and Printing equipment in the manufacturing of molded pulp egg cartons. The Van Wert Fiber location will be a manufacturer of molded pulp consumer products; primarily egg cartons.

Develops & mentors shift LEAD to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned crew.

Drive Customer Satisfaction:
Works closely with the Plant Manager & Production Manager to drive plant standards, procedures and program plans for achieving and maintaining the required level of product quality.
- Requires a minimum of 5 or more years previous Shift Supervisor experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong verbal/written communication skills as well as interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are critical for excelling in this position.
- Servant Leadership style
- Must be willing/able to eventually transition from 8-hour shift to 12-hour overnight shift as location gradually becomes fully operational over the next several months.
- Molded Pulp food service mfg experience preferred
- Certification, or willingness to become certified in the following: CPR and first-aid, Six Sigma
- Self-directed approach to work & prioritization.
- Recruiting/Interviewing/Hire Selection experience a huge plus
- Bilingual abilities are a bonus
