Senior Accountant

Our client is a manufacturing and distribution business in the Surrey/Langley area and they are looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee the financials for the business division. This position ensures accurate financial records, supports cost accounting and inventory controls, and helps maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Responsibilities:

Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close; prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements

Oversee general ledger accuracy and ensure compliant financial reporting

Manage inventory and cost accounting, including standard costing and variance analysis

Analyze financial results and explain variances to management

Support audits, internal controls, and accounting policy compliance

Partner with operations to ensure accurate production and inventory reporting

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

CPA Designation

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

Hands-on experience with month-end close and reconciliations

Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems

Salary 80-90,000 range depending on experience.
