Summary of Position:
The Accounting and Payroll Manager oversees the organization’s accounting teams day to day accounting activities and payroll functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely payroll processing and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Effectively support employees and managements at all levels of the organization and provide solutions that support operational results.
Ensure all payroll procedures meet company policies and legislations and continue, maintain, and improve the processes and procedures.

Use diligence, be reliable and trustworthy to protect confidential information.

Prepare/Manage company payroll year ends.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Accounting
Manage accounting team
Ensure financial data is accurate and up to date
Assisting in posting vehicle deals to keep dealership operations running smoothly
Accurately calculate commissions to be paid
Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Payroll
Manage end-to-end payroll processing (weekly, biweekly, or monthly)
Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions
Prepare and submit ROEs, T4.s and annual returns
Ensure compliance with federal, provincial payroll laws
Maintain accurate employee data (new hires, terminations, job changes)
Oversee payroll tax filings, remittances, and year-end reporting
Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries
Coordinate payroll system updates and integrations with HR and accounting systems
Management & Collaboration
Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Partner with HR on employee changes, and compliance matters
Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations
Support process improvements and system implementations
Job Specification:
Minimum 5 years of accounting and payroll experience
Automotive Dealership experience is preferred
Reynold and Reynolds preferred
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Windows (Excel and Word).
Strong organization and communication skills
Strong leadership and management skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 per year.
Work Environment:
Our hours of operations are below. The hours and days of work are dependent on your role with a 40-hour workweek for full-time employment.
Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm
Saturday from 8:30am to 5:00pm
