Your New RoleAs (Senior) Project Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial reporting and project accounting functions across several development projects. You will assist with full-cycle accounting, bank reconciliations, and journal entries, while maintaining accurate project-level financial records and supporting schedules. You will help track budgets and actual costs, prepare variance analyses, and contribute to monthly project reporting. You’ll support the preparation of loan draws, capital calls, and project-related payments, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete.
Collaborating closely with the development, construction, and finance teams, you’ll help ensure timely updates to budgets, forecasts, and job cost tracking.
You will also assist with quarterly and annual reporting packages, the setup of new projects in the accounting system, and documentation related to project milestones such as deposits, prepaids, and warranty tracking. This role provides exposure to the full project lifecycle from a financial perspective and offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic, growing environment.
What Sets You ApartTo excel in this role, you will have or be working towards a professional accounting designation (CPA) and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent, along with a minimum of two years of accounting experience. Demonstrated analytical skills and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential, and experience with Sage Intacct is a strong asset. You have excellent communication skills and are confident building relationships across teams.
The ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail is critical for success.
