mid to late March 2026 for 12 months
We are seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our finance team on a maternity leave replacement contract. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting during the contract period. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and may assist with month‑end, audit, and compliance activities.
Please note that you must be legally permitted to work in Canada as this is a position at our head office location in Vancouver.
What You Will Do:- Record and review financial transactions, post journal entries to ensure they are recorded accurately and appropriately
- Assist with accounting operations, including inventory, AR and AP
- Support the month‑end close and preparation of financial reporting packages by maintaining the general ledger and sub‑ledger accounts as needed
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate audit requests and requirements
- Streamline account reconciliations with external vendors and suppliers
- Provide support in preparing ad‑hoc reporting and data analysis as needed
- Relevant accounting experience with a finance team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent education and experience
- Highly motivated, detail‑oriented team player who works well to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent oral and written interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude and open to learning and collaboration
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Quick Books Online or equivalent is an asset
- CPA‑candidate status is an asset
