About the role
We’re currently looking for a Senior Accountant, Private Enterprise to join our Vancouver office. In this role, you will support the delivery of compilation, review, and audit engagements, prepare financial statements and tax filings, and act as a key contributor in serving a diverse portfolio of private‑sector clients.
You will work closely with supportive Partners and Senior Managers across a variety of industries, gaining exposure to different leadership styles, client types, and technical challenges. This team values mentorship, collaboration, and continuous development — you’ll be surrounded by colleagues working toward their CPA, with opportunities to both learn from others and coach junior staff. With interesting work, a welcoming environment, and hands‑on support for your professional growth, this is an ideal role for someone building a long‑term career in public practice.
Howyou’ll make a difference
- Lead key areas of client engagements — supporting planning, execution, and completion of compilation, review, and audit files, helping deliver accurate, timely, high‑quality work that clients trust.
- Prepare corporate, personal, and trust tax filings — ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for clients, contributing to a seamless year‑end experience.
- Support and coach junior staff — answering questions, reviewing work, and fostering a learning culture, helping develop the next generation of accountants on the team.
- Build strong client relationships — managing information requests, communicating clearly, and addressing questions, becoming a reliable point of contact and trusted resource.
- 3+ years of public practice experience, ideally working with private enterprise clients.
- CPA designated or actively pursuing designation (we will support your progression and CPA experience requirements).
- Experience preparing and reviewing compilation and review engagements, corporate and personal tax returns, and completing year‑end working papers.
- Robust communication skills, a team‑first mindset, and a desire to mentor and support junior staff.
- A proactive learner who enjoys working with multiple Partners and Managers, and someone who thrives in a collaborative, in‑office environment (4–5 days per week).
- Someone who sees long‑term career growth in public practice and wants to build leadership skills while contributing to a supportive and high‑performing team culture.
- A competitive salary and full benefits package.
- Standard 35‑hour work week.
- Paid overtime or time‑in‑lieu at all levels.
- Flexible time (equivalent to ~12 additional days off per year, in addition to vacation).
- Mental & physical wellness allowance.
- Meal coverage when working beyond 10 hours.
- Access to Moore Global training, learning networks, and specialist groups.
- A supportive, collaborative environment where high‑quality work, flexibility, and balance are truly respected.
