Our client is a well established manufacturing/processing company with operating divisions across Western Canada. They currently have a position available for a recently designated CPA to function as an Assistant Controller.
Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for supervising the junior accounting staff.
Responsibilities- Management of the Accounts Receivable function
- Preparing management reports
- Preparing journal entries
- Preparing cash management reports
- Preparing bank reconciliations for Canadian and US bank accounts
- Reconciling G/L accounts at month end
- Reconciling A/R and A/P sub ledgers at month end
- Preparing year-end working papers for the external audit
- Special projects as assigned by the Controller
The successful candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a recently designated CPA.
