Senior Property Accountant

Role:

You will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting of a portfolio of properties and will work closely with property managers, asset managers, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong operational support. • Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties, including monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate annual operating budgets and forecasts with property management teams.
• Review and reconcile tenant billings including CAM, operating cost recoveries, and property tax allocations.
• Support year-end processes, including working with external auditors and preparing audit schedules.
• Monitor cash flow, review bank reconciliations, and oversee accounts payable and receivable activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting efficiency, and internal controls.

• Designated CPA
• 5+ years of property accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of property management systems (Yardi or similar) and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
