Position: Horizon Recruitment Senior Accounting Role
Join Horizon Recruitment as a Senior Accountant and focus on precise financial reporting and efficient monthly closures.

This role offers a blend of accounting expertise and process improvement.

Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, your role will be pivotal in delivering accurate financial results and ensuring the timely completion of reconciliations. Your hands-on approach will involve reviewing journal entries and supporting financial statement preparation in accordance with ASPE, driving efficiency in the close process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support monthly close activities with accuracy

• Review and prepare journal entries for various categories

• Resolve discrepancies in balance sheet reconciliations

• Conduct variance investigations and provide insights

• Prepare reporting packages for leadership reviews

Requirements:

• CPA designation, either completed or in progress

• Minimum of 2 years in accounting roles

• Proficient in full-cycle accounting and reporting

• Experience with ERP systems;
Net Suite is an asset

• Skilled in advanced Excel functions and data analysis
