Lead financial reporting for the Housing Department as a Senior Accountant. This pivotal role involves month-end reporting, historical record cleanup, and mentoring junior staff in a supportive environment.
The position demands a qualified CPA with 5-8 years of accounting experience. You will manage bank and balance sheet reconciliations while overseeing various accounting tasks related to housing finance. Your core responsibilities include reconstructing historical mortgage records, conducting audits, and contributing to annual budgeting processes within the Housing Department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare month-end and year-end draft financial statements
• Administer government fund revenue and cost variance
• Oversee A/R, A/P procedures, and GL reconciliations
• Conduct detailed reviews of historical financial reporting
• Calculate member equity interests for estates and special cases
Requirements:
• CPA designation or equivalent in accounting or business
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles and fund accounting
• Proficiency with accounting software, Acumatica preferred
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
