As a Co-op Student or Intern at BDO, you will develop your forensic mindset, focusing on detecting financial irregularities and strengthening your financial modeling skills in Excel. This role involves exposure to fraud investigations, insurance claims, and litigation support, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge in a dynamic environment while being mentored by a team of specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support forensic investigations into fraud and corruption
• Analyze financial records and create models in Excel
• Conduct economic research for client engagements
• Collaborate with teams on litigation support tasks
• Assist in preparing detailed client reports and presentations
Requirements:
• Enrollment in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
• Strong interest in Investigative and Forensic Accounting
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with data analytics tools is a plus
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
