Position: Controller for Development Projects
Lead financial reporting and project accounting at Peterson as a Controller for Development. Collaborate with multiple departments to drive budget management and cash flow oversight.

Peterson is seeking a detail-oriented Controller to oversee project accounting for its development portfolio. This role, grounded in a CPA designation, demands expertise in project reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis. You will work closely with Finance, Construction, and Development teams to ensure accurate financial insights and enhance decision-making across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial reporting across various development projects

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow

• Ensure accuracy in financial records and reporting deliverables

• Collaborate with diverse departments to optimize project performance

• Implement process improvements for stronger financial controls

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of project reporting experience

• Strong attention to detail and accounting judgement

• Advanced Excel proficiency with complex financial data

• Professionalism when dealing with sensitive information

• Familiarity with Yardi job cost module is a plus
