: 4 or 8 months (preferred)

Compensation
: $20/hour

As a co-op student, you will not be doing side work, You will support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting processes and will contribute to real projects that impact employees, residents, and operations across the organization.

You will gain exposure to full-cycle accounting in a real operating environment.

• Process invoices, expenses, and payments
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Liaise with vendors to ensure accounts are current.
• Respond to employee and vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping.
• Prepare cash flow updates as needed.
• Prepare and reconcile credit card transactions, applying adjustments as needed.
• Process employee expense reimbursements.
• Prepare and process intercompany charges.
• Assist with month-end bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Collect data from financial transactions and complete journal entries.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational requirements.

• Enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Comfortable working with details, data, and structured tasks
• Able to manage deadlines and handle multiple priorities
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Clear communication and willingness to ask questions
• Able to work independently and collaborate with a team
• Takes initiative and follows through on assigned work
• Enrolled in a Co-op or Work-Integrated Learning (WIL)
• Currently attending a post-secondary institution
• Open to domestic students (Canadian Citizen/Permanent Residents) only.
