Position: Senior Accountant BC (HQ)

As a Senior Accountant on our finance team, you will be an integral part of it. You will support our full-cycle accounting processes including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Statement preparation, and other areas. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting the business in establishing and maintaining processes to ensure consistent data accuracy across business systems.

In this role, your responsibilities would include:
  • Preparing complex accounting entries, including those pertaining to intercompany, leases, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, tax, and other areas.
  • Supporting full cycle accounting, with a focus on enhancing and streamlining the Purchases, Payables, and Payments functions from both a process and system perspective.
  • Assisting with Revenue, Receivables, and Receipts workflows when required.
  • Assisting with business system enhancements, including implementations, reconciliations, and working cross-functionally within the org to maintain data integrity.
  • Preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany allocations.
  • Supporting with financial statement preparation, tax returns, and other regulatory returns or audits.
  • Supporting ad-hoc finance projects as needed.
Required Skills:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of accounting experience, with audit experience preferred.
  • A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or in the final stages of completing it.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online, Netsuite, or Sage Intacct are considered assets.
