Junior Accountant in Downtown

Embark on your accounting career with Doman Treated Wood in Downtown Vancouver as a full-time Junior Accountant. Manage cash flow, prepare reconciliations, and contribute to the month-end close every month.

This on-site role reports to the Accounting Manager. As a Junior Accountant, you'll engage in full cycle accounting duties, requiring excellent Excel skills and a keen attention to detail. Ideal candidates will embrace learning opportunities within a publicly traded environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly journal entries and variance analysis

• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations for accuracy

• Assist with timely month-end close procedures

• Maintain continuity schedule for fixed assets

• Verify general ledger coding compliance

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance

• Excellent Excel and time management skills

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

• Experience with computerized accounting is an asset

• Open to advancing knowledge in full cycle accounting
