Treasury Accountant

Our client is a very successful company that has its head office located in downtown Vancouver. An excellent position exists for a motivated person to assume the newly created position of Treasury Accountant. The successful candidate, who should be a newly designated CPA, will be involved in a number of key functions for the company. Approximately 50% of your time will involve the interpretation of contracts for the sales side of the business.

You will be involved with the interpretation of contracts and ensuring that the accounting for the sales are accurate and timely. You will also spend about 25% of your time on corporate taxation including extracting information from the accounting records as required for tax return preparation and other industry related tax filings. Lastly, about 25% of the positions will involve assisting the Treasurer with cash flows and cash forecasting and also assisting the Treasurer with the company’s insurance program.
