We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in Vancouver.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to develop beyond routine accounting and gain broader exposure to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, financial reporting, sales analysis, vendor and customer rebates, consignment payments, inventory accounting, reconciliations, and month-end activities.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and comfortable working with multiple departments in a fast-paced business environment.

• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, including invoice processing, payments, customer receipts, credits, and reconciliations.
• Perform weekly bank reconciliations and assist with general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly consignment payment calculations and supporting documentation.
• Prepare monthly AR and Sales reports
• Prepare and monitor monthly vendor rebate reports and support customer rebate calculations.
• Assist with inventory invoice matching, reconciliations, and inventory adjustment analysis.
• Support month-end and year-end closing, journal entries, financial reporting, and audit requirements.
• Assist with time card matching, reconciliations and payroll process
• Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Operations to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential financial records.
• Support Management with financial analysis, reporting, and other accounting and payroll tasks as required.

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Experience with ERP or accounting software
• Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
• Excellent attention to details and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Good written and spoken English
• Experience in inventory accounting, manufacturing, or distribution is considered a strong asset

This position offers an opportunity to build broader commercial accounting experience within a growing food-service distribution organization. You will work closely with Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, Operations, and Management, gaining practical exposure to different areas of the business while developing your accounting and analytical capabilities.
