Financial Reporting Specialist - Utilities

In this role, reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will work cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, AP/AR, and Operations teams. Key tasks include preparing financial analyses, supporting budgets, and assisting with audits. This position demands strong accounting skills and a detail-oriented approach to handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations

• Prepare journal entries with supporting documents

• Investigate variances between subledgers and general ledger

• Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation

• Prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• 2-3 years’ accounting experience required

• Knowledge of ASPE and US GAAP standards

• Multi-entity accounting experience is a plus

• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems
