Eligibility

Note:

To qualify for a student (Co-op/Internship) opportunity, students must be enrolled in their academic studies at a post-secondary institution (university/college) and must be returning to school after completion of their work term with Quad Real. If you are a student registered in an official co-op program at your post-secondary institution and completion of a final work term is a mandatory component for you to graduate, you are eligible to apply with the understanding that you will leave Quad Real at the end of your work term or have the possibility to be considered for full-time opportunities.

Based in Vancouver, the Co-op/Intern, Investment Accounting – Real Estate Debt will report to the Senior Manager, Investment Accounting – Real Estate Debt and assist in the timely, complete, and accurate accounting and financial reporting of the mortgage investments. They will also work closely with the Real Estate Operations, Corporate Accounting, and Portfolio Reporting groups to ensure investment transactions are accounted for in accordance with supporting documentation.

Additionally, responsibilities will include the period-end closing and reporting processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

• Record and ensure completeness and accuracy of daily investment transactions and activities
• Perform daily Net Asset Value reasonability check
• Prepare weekly cash report and bank reconciliations
• Prepare expense and accrual files for monthly and quarterly fee transactions
• Prepare monthly subledger and general ledger reconciliations and working papers
• Reconcile shares, holdings and transactions for pooled funds and segregated holdings at each month end
• Perform valuation and FX roll-up entries for pooled funds and stopper entities
• Complete monthly and quarterly management reporting in a timely and accurate manner
