Manage hotel cash flow and payroll with accuracy, confidentiality, and strong attention to detail in this General Accountant position. Ensure daily financial controls remain dependable.
The General Accountant oversees cash collections, deposits, disbursements, and payroll processing. This position requires cash reconciliation, payroll software knowledge, taxation understanding, and compliance with financial policies. The role also coordinates with Front Office, HR, and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:- Handle cash collections, deposits, and disbursements securely
- Perform daily cash counts against system reports
- Prepare bank deposits and maintain transaction records
- Process payroll accurately and on time
- Resolve cash and payroll discrepancies with departments
- One year of similar experience, preferably hospitality
- Understanding of payroll processing, taxation, and cash handling
- Proficiency with accounting and payroll software
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
