Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. Prior experience is preferred but not required as we will provide onboarding and training for our dental software and workflow. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and a big smile as he/she will serve as the first point of contact for patients. Primary duties include managing front desk operations (phone calls/ bookings), welcoming and settling patients as they arrive, and administrative tasks.
This role requires excellent communication skills, compassion, and a strong willingness to learn and adapt as we are a start‑up office with evolving challenges. The Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and providing exceptional customer service.
- Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes
- Schedule appointments using Cleardent or other electronic medical records systems
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally
- Verify patient insurance information and update records accordingly
- Collect payments and process billing accurately
- Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical records systems
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and correspondence
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely patient flow and appointment adherence
- Manage correspondence, including appointment reminders and follow-up calls
- Provide a summary of proposed treatment plans and help the patients with any questions they might have
- Help with social media/ online posting from time to time
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or reception/sales role in a retail setting is preferred but not required
- Ability and willingness to learn new softwares and operate digital platforms/ social media platforms
- Hospitality and phone experience is a strong plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with front desk administrative tasks and office procedures
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor to ensure positive patient interactions

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
