Become a Temporary Administrative Assistant at the BC General Employees' Union’s Lower Mainland Area Office in Vancouver.
Your role will focus on supporting daily office functions through administrative expertise.
This is a three-month temporary position, integral to ensuring efficient operations in a collaborative environment. Reporting to the Director and Associate Director, you will be responsible for handling document management, meeting coordination, and overall office assistance. Your contributions will be vital to the smooth running of union activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and draft essential documents and correspondence
• Provide assistance to visitors and handle calls
• Coordinate various meetings and travel arrangements
• Maintain an organized filing system and document flow
• Support strike and ratification vote preparations
Requirements:
• High school diploma with relevant administrative coursework
• 2-4 years in a similar administrative capacity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required
• Experience with database management is advantageous
• Ability to manage time and priorities effectively
