This Administrative Assistant performs administrative and file management tasks for Lawyers, Paraprofessionals, Practice Assistants, and support functions. The work includes iManage document management, electronic and paper filing, archive management, billing support, conflict checking, and client relationship updates. Responsibilities are completed independently and under Team Leader supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Scan and save work in the iManage document management system
Process file requests, reopen files, and retrieve stored files
Open, label, update, and close client file folders
Assist with pre-bills, invoices, edits, and engagement letters
Communicate promptly about file management issues and progress
Requirements:
Legal Administrative Assistant certificate from an accredited program
One to two years of office experience preferred
Strong Microsoft Office knowledge; iManage experience considered an asset
Knowledge of client management systems considered an asset
Detail orientation, initiative, deadlines, teamwork, and excellent client service
Bring organized file administration, Microsoft Office knowledge, and responsive client service to BLG’s legal support teams.
