Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable General Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing a wide range of mechanical repairs and services to ensure vehicles are operating safely and reliably.
Experience with dealership procedures, welding, and reading schematics is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse vehicle issues, utilize various tools, and contribute to customer satisfaction through quality workmanship.### Duties
* Perform comprehensive automotive repairs including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical systems
* Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
* Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to repair or replace vehicle components
* Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
* Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
* Assist with vehicle assembly and disassembly as needed
* Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides
* Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly
* Perform heavy lifting of vehicle parts or components safely and efficiently### Qualifications
* 5+ years of general automotive repair experience
* Dealership experience preferred but not required
* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
* Strong mechanical knowledge including engine diagnostics and electrical systems
* Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately
* Experience with automotive repair software is a plus
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Valid driver’s license is required
