Asset Mgmt Sales & ServiceAs Vice President in Alternatives Distribution, you will play a crucial role in growing assets and revenues, managing distribution channels, and nurturing investor relationships within private markets and alternatives for BMO GAM. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external partners, and clients to execute strategic initiatives and achieve business objectives. The successful candidate must show strong understanding and knowledge of Private Equity (Primaries, Secondaries, & Co-investments), Real Assets (Infrastructure and Real Estate), Private Credit and Hedge Funds.
The role can be based in Toronto, Vancouver or Calgary but the candidate must be willing to travel (up to 50% of the time) within Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of sales strategies aligned with business goals and market trends.
Support the management of distribution channels effectively to ensure broad market penetration and maximize sales opportunities in your region.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential investors, addressing their inquiries and needs promptly and professionally.
Develop a deep understanding of the firm's products and services to effectively articulate value propositions to clients and investors.
Collaborate with the marketing/IR team to create compelling pitch materials and presentations tailored to specific client needs and preferences.
Monitor sales performance metrics, track client engagement, and generate regular monthly and quarterly reports for investors and internal management.
Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and seminars to network with key stakeholders and promote brand visibility.
Identify and pursue opportunities to acquire new clients through targeted outreach and relationship-building efforts with our internal and external partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with BMO GAM Wholesalers, Internal Sales Wholesalers, external partners, industry players, including institutional investors, family offices, and financial advisors.
Provide exceptional client service throughout the sales cycle, from initial contact to post-sale support and relationship management.
Utilize available CRM systems effectively to track interactions, manage client data, and generate actionable insights for business development.
Use client and investor feedback to drive product and service improvements, enhancing overall client satisfaction and retention.
Uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all interactions with clients, investors, and colleagues.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in all sales and investor relations activities.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with client relationships, investments, and market developments to protect the firm's interests.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development. Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
Address client inquiries, concerns, and challenges promptly and effectively, demonstrating a solutions-oriented approach.
