Babysitter

We’re currently looking for an Occasional Babysitter in North Vancouver, BC, Canada V7L 1B2

A lovely family in the Lower Lonsdale neighborhood (North Vancouver) is seeking an occasional babysitter for their 4 year old and 18 month old to start as soon as possible. Backup care is needed 1-3 times per month on weekdays from 9am-5pm for school closures or when a child is home sick from daycare. Also, for date nights from 5pm-9pm. The family is open to candidates who are available for 3-6 hours during their daytime requests.

The family can provide a 12-24 hour notice prior to when sick care is needed during weekday daytime requests and 1-7 days notice for school closures or date night evening care . Those applying do not need to be available for all requests, but should understand that there are no guaranteed hours for this position. The children enjoy dancing, music, playing with trains, arts & crafts and are very imaginative.

Mom and dad work from home most days. A great candidate will be flexible and engaging.

Start date: ASAP

Length of Position: Long-term, minimum 1 year

Schedule:
Intermittent care - No guaranteed hours

Backup care/school closures: Mondays-Fridays, 9am-5pm (3-6 hours within this time frame)

Date nights: 5pm-9pm

• Engaging with the children in play and taking to nearby parks
• Diaper changing + potty training assistance for baby
• Serve dinner to children during date nights (will be prepped ahead)
• Bedtime routines for evening requests

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of paid professional toddler care experience
• Must be UTD on CPR certification or willing to renew prior to start
• Must be eligible to work in Canada
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Spanish speaking is a plus

This position pays CAD $25 per hour.
