Construction Grade Expert

Join Conwest as a Construction Grade Expert in Vancouver, responsible for establishing precise grades and layouts for utility projects. Collaborate closely with site teams and ensure proper construction methods are used.

This position requires hands-on experience in civil construction, particularly with earthworks and underground utilities. You will work collaboratively with the Foreman and others, managing construction layouts and communicating effectively to ensure utilities are placed correctly. An understanding of safety practices and site regulations is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review tasks with the Foreman before execution

• Generate and maintain survey notes and records

• Communicate layout details to crew members effectively

• Guide Equipment Operators to achieve correct grade

• Conduct equipment checks and report defects

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in civil construction

• Proficiency with survey instruments and civil plans

• Ability to measure distances accurately

• Valid Class 5 driver's license is mandatory

• Commitment to safety policies and procedures
