Position: Experienced Estimator for Major Projects
Pomerleau Construction is looking for a skilled Estimator with at least 5 years of experience. This role involves leveraging your estimating expertise to prepare high-value bids for projects ranging from $1.5 million to $1 billion.

As a crucial member of the Major Projects team, you will utilize Hard Dollar estimating software for bid preparation. Your responsibility will include analyzing project specifications in detail and collaborating with operations staff to ensure bid accuracy. Close engagement with clients and subcontractors will be essential for maintaining project integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and prepare detailed bid estimates

• Visit project sites for evaluations prior to pricing

• Perform quantity take-offs from construction plans

• Manage bid pricing from suppliers and subcontractors

• Keep accurate records of bids and tenders

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years in construction estimating

• Familiarity with HD estimating software

• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

• Understanding of construction contracts

• Ability to discern project-related risks
