They are seeking a Site Superintendent to lead field delivery on municipal and private utility projects across the Lower Mainland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise day-to-day field operations for underground wet utility installations, including water mains, force mains, gravity sewers, storm systems, manholes, chambers, and services.

  • Oversee trenching, shoring, dewatering, bypass pumping, compaction, backfill, and road restoration to MMCD and municipal specs.
  • Implement safety, environmental, and quality procedures, including FLHAs, toolbox talks, utility locates, and erosion and sediment control.
  • Work with Project Managers on look-ahead schedules, change events, RFIs, and quantity tracking.
  • Maintain daily reports, as-builts, redlines, and test records for pressure tests, CCTV, mandrel, air/vac and density tests.
  • Liaise with inspectors, engineers, and owners to resolve conflicts and keep work moving.
  • Lead pre-construction planning, site mobilization, and close-out, including deficiency completion and turnover packages.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
  • 5+ years as a Site Superintendent or Lead Foreperson on underground wet utility projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MMCD, municipal standards, and CoV/Surrey/Coquitlam permitting and inspection processes.
  • Proven experience with deep services, live tie-ins, traffic control in urban corridors, and coordinating multiple crews.
  • Skilled in reading civil drawings, profiles, and shop drawings, and producing accurate as-builts.
  • Solid safety leadership and incident‑free track record; confined space and trenching best practices.
  • Effective communicator who builds productive relationships with owners, consultants, and inspectors.
  • Valid BC driver’s license; available for night work or weekends as required by shutdowns.
  • Schooling is not required; proven wet utilities field leadership is essential.
