Estimator, Senior

Responsibilities

• Confidently lead a team through the completion of a bid process under pressure.
• Mentor and train junior estimating staff.
• Assemble accurate, timely and well‑organized estimates, including hard‑bid, construction management and design‑build.
• Organize sub‑contractor quotes when the bid is successful, re‑write binders and assist the buy‑out process.
• Monitor project performance, noting potential challenges and building relationships with sub‑trades for future opportunities.
• Distribute sub‑trade quotes to personnel, flag areas of concern and coordinate with management to accommodate risk within the bid price.
• Maintain databases, including labour rates, material pricing, and project costs, for future reference.

• 10+ years of experience in ICI estimating or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Advanced knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, construction contracts, conceptual estimating and unit costs.
• Ability to work effectively and accurately in time‑sensitive situations while delegating to a team.
• Ability to work independently and communicate efficiently and effectively.
• Experience using takeoff software, specifically CostX or Blue Beam.
