Role Description The Project Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area. This position is responsible for supporting project planning, scheduling, and execution across civil, electrical, and high voltage installations, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope. Day-to-day activities include preparing and maintaining project documentation, tracking milestones and deliverables, coordinating with site supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, and assisting with procurement and material tracking.
The role involves organizing meetings, maintaining updated records and reports, supporting compliance with safety and quality standards, and helping address project issues or changes as they arise. The Project Coordinator also contributes to communication with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate information flow and alignment on project objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills, including experience with scheduling, documentation, and tracking deliverables.
- Ability to manage stakeholder communication, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain professional relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Proficiency with basic project management and office tools (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, project tracking software); familiarity with construction or electrical project workflows is an asset.
- Understanding of construction or infrastructure project environments, ideally with exposure to electrical, civil, or transportation-related projects.
- Solid attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to work in a fast-paced, on-site setting while meeting deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare clear reports, correspondence, and project updates.
- Post-secondary education in project management, engineering technology, construction management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and willingness to adhere to company and regulatory safety standards; prior experience on active job sites is an asset.
