Our Vancouver-based client is a highly respected General Contractor specializing in complex Tenant Improvement and institutional projects across the Lower Mainland. About Our Client
Our client is a well-established Vancouver-based general contractor with a strong presence across commercial, institutional, and select industrial sectors. Known for delivering high-quality projects in the $10M–$50M range, the company has built a reputation for disciplined project execution, collaborative site teams, and long-term client relationships. With a healthy pipeline of new construction and commercial TI work, they are actively seeking to strengthen their project management team with a Project Manager.

About The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join a top-tier GC that is deeply rooted in Vancouver and known for delivering technically challenging TI projects.

You will take full ownership, leading projects from start-up through to close-out. This requires someone who actively drives progress and solves problems in real time.

Projects will primarily include complex commercial and institutional TI work with significant coordination requirements

About The Position

  • Manage tenant improvement projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and municipal authorities to ensure project requirements and milestones are achieved.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Administer contracts, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, progress claims, and closeout documentation.
  • Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors while managing supplier relationships and delivery schedules.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Manage project budgets by tracking costs, forecasting expenditures, reviewing invoices, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues proactively to minimize impacts on schedule, budget, and client expectations.
  • Facilitate project meetings, provide regular progress reports to clients and stakeholders, and maintain clear communication throughout all project phases.
  • Coordinate project commissioning, deficiencies, occupancy requirements, and final turnover, ensuring all documentation is complete and client expectations are exceeded.

The Requirements

  • Relevant 3rdlevel qualification
  • 5 to 8 years minimum PM experience, specifically in tenant improvements
  • Proven ability to run multiple projects at once
  • Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, MS Office and other scheduling software
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling, and processes
  • Familiarity with WorkSafeBC regulations

Compensation

  • Salary: $115,000 – $130,000 DOE
