Capital Project Manager

The City of Vancouver is seeking an experienced Project Manager II to oversee capital projects directly. Your responsibilities include managing budgets, facilitating public engagement, and aligning development standards with community needs. This role requires collaboration with numerous stakeholders to secure entitlements and ensure that projects meet city regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage projects from feasibility to post-completion handover

• Lead the procurement process for design and construction

• Ensure alignment with municipal approvals and sustainability criteria

• Prepare detailed project budgets and reports

• Oversee compliance during construction and project close-out phases

Requirements:

• Degree in Project Management, Architecture, or equivalent

• Six years of industry experience in real estate development

• Proficient in various construction contract types

• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills

• Driver’s license valid in British Columbia
